Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using XHome.school (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent/teacher account.

2. Description of Service

XHome.school is a free homeschool management platform that helps parents and teachers organize assignments, track grades, manage quizzes, and motivate students through an XP and rewards system. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any passkeys or login credentials associated with it.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Student accounts may only be created by a parent or teacher. Students cannot register independently.
• You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep it up to date.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
• Upload malicious code, spam, or harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without prior written consent.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service.

5. Content & Data

• You retain ownership of all content you create (assignments, grades, quiz questions, etc.).
• You grant XHome.school a limited license to store and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
• We do not claim ownership of your data and will never sell it to third parties.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of content you upload.

6. Children’s Accounts

As a parent or teacher, you represent that you have the legal authority to create accounts for the students under your care. You consent to the collection and use of student data as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for managing and supervising student access to the Service.

7. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate quiz questions and grade short-answer responses. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You should review all AI-generated quizzes and grading results. XHome.school is not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep XHome.school available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@xhome.school. Upon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XHome.school and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify registered users via the app. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
